Have you ever daydreamed during class only to be called on and have no idea what the conversation was because you were deep in your own thoughts? Better yet, driven home and not remembered the drive? You were in a normal altered state of consciousness or simply put, a form of hypnosis. Chances are you have been in a natural state of hypnosis at times throughout your life and not realized or recognized this deep state of relaxation or concentration as hypnosis.

Hypnosis is simply using your subconscious mind to help you achieve the result you desire. With hypnosis it is possible to break lifelong fears, habits and addictive behaviors such as nail biting, smoking, weight management, drug and alcohol issues to name a few. Hypnosis also is used for stress reduction, test taking, work or athletic performance enhancement, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a result of abuse, violence, war, natural disaster or any traumatic event. Hypnosis is also effective with pain management, insomnia, healing, childbirth, and a variety of medical and dental uses. In fact, there are far too many uses for hypnosis to adequately list them.

What if I get stuck in hypnosis? It is simply not possible to get stuck in your subconscious thoughts although it is possible to become so relaxed that you fall asleep. Your Hypnotherapist will interview you and discuss your goals as well as answer all of your questions concerning hypnotherapy.  Hypnosis is completely safe and you are aware of everything said during hypnosis.

Group Hypnosis
Some sessions such as smoking cessation, relaxation or learning the basics of self hypnosis can be presented in a group session. For example if several people in one family are trying to stop smoking it is possible to do a group rather than an individual session. We also encourage your non-profit to host a group session with a portion of the fee donated directly to your organization.

We want to be clear that we do not “cure” addictions but rather help you uncover the possible reasons for the addiction or addictive behavior regardless of whether the addiction is to drugs, alcohol, food, negative behavior or other factors. Once you discover the reason for the behavior you will have a greater chance of addressing the issues that cause the addictive behavior. The use of this inner knowledge and increased stress reduction techniques can make a substantial difference in behavioral changes. Most clients benefit from a holistic approach by receiving care from a doctor or addiction specialist in addition to hypnosis if recovering from substance addiction of any type. We encourage you to seek wellness programs that encompass your entire mind and body with hypnosis being one part of the plan or program. We encourage you to find the route cause behind your addiction rather than just treating only the symptoms of addictionOne example is an addiction revolving around food consumption which is never about food but rather emotion, control and self image.

Drug exposure in utero

We have an epidemic of children being born exposed to drugs in utero. Issues range from learning concerns, temperament and behavior issues, ADD, ADHD, ODD (as diagnosed by the child's physician) among other developmental concerns. Many children also suffer from PTSD as a result of violence, abuse or neglect. Our goals is to aid in the research and development of techniques to help these children and their families. Please contact us with research, proven methods or questions. As always, we welcome your support to develop and deliver programs by visiting the donations tab on the upper left of this page.

We are using hypnotherapy with children to help with concentration, confidence, behavioral changes, schoolwork, sports enhancement as well as fears, anger and relaxation. Children as young as 4 to 5 can benefit from hypnosis. Younger children with advanced verbal skills may also benefit. Promising research is now surfacing in the use of hypnosis for autism, behavioral concerns, ADD, ADHD, ODD, PTSD and a variety of other concerns.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
PTSD can occur from any traumatic event such an accident, natural disaster, war, torture, abuse, neglect or any traumatic experience and affects both children and adults. Hypnosis has been used for PTSD for hundreds of years and can be used as a sole intervention or in conjunction with several treatment methods depending on the circumstances. When working with PTSD clients, we strive to help the client learn self hypnosis techniques and focus first on more restful sleep and then on reducing stress and symptoms overall. This type of hypnosis requires several sessions and is client focused.
